Does Startaloo integrate with practice management systems? Will I be doing double entry with patient information?
Currently, the information you enter into your PMS is not trackable on Startaloo. However, we offer a convenient and seamless service where your patient data will be uploaded onto Startaloo, which means TCs won’t have to do double entries.
What’s wrong with the way we are currently presenting treatment and financing?
Your current presentation methods might be “getting the job done” but that is not good enough in today’s competitive environment. You could still type with a typewriter, but I think we all agree there’s a better way.

Yes. With the Startaloo, your TC will be able to schedule and send HIPAA secure text messages, emails and other task prompts. Not only will Startaloo allow you be able to send outbound messages but Startaloo will notify you when new messages come in as well as store them for future reference.
How can the metrics found in Startaloo help my practice?

How quickly can Startaloo be up and running for my practice?
After your initial consultation, you will be given a questionnaire that will allow us to customize Startaloo for your practice. Upon returning your questionnaire, we typically have Startaloo up and running for your practice in less than a week.
Will you train my staff on how to use Startaloo?
Yes, we make the onboarding process easy. We will train your staff, even though Startaloo is already very easy to use.

Can the follow-up be divided between my office and Startaloo TC-Virtual Assistant?
Of course! You can divvy up the follow up among your team or Startaloo TC-VA. You can set these tasks up via your pending patient tree or schedule them “on the fly”.
What if a patient replies to the Startaloo TC-Virtual Assistant’s text message?
For basic questions your VA will respond ASAP. For questions that your VA can’t answer, your VA will instant message your office asking how you’d like them to respond. Maybe you want your team to call the patient? No problem, your VA will facilitate the call.
How will my Startaloo TC-Virtual Assistant introduce themselves when calling on behalf of my office?
It’s entirely up to you. Your VA is an extension of your office, therefore, they can introduce themselves as calling “from” your office. The VA’s main goal is to get the patient to convert to a Start.
Who will be signing off on the text messages and emails?
Just as phone calls, it’s entirely up to you how your Startaloo VA will sign off on text messages and emails. To optimize conversion rates we suggest that your VA sign off as the TC who presented treatment during the new patient exam.
What happens if someone calls the office?
Your team simply has to look at the Startaloo Patient Hub to see the correspondence that took place between your VA and your patient. Now they are all caught up!
What happens if someone calls the phone number that the text came from?
It gets forwarded straight to your office. For reference, your team will have all the correspondence that took place in the Startaloo Patient Hub.
What if I want to make changes to my Practice Management System status?
We will provide your office with a weekly report that includes new patient status changes. You can use this report to quickly update your PMS.
Can I see all outbound and inbound messages?
Of course! The Startaloo Patient Hub was designed to provide you with full transparency. You will see all correspondence between your VA and your patient.
What happens if I text or email a patient myself from Startaloo?
Any replies to text or email correspondence you send from Startaloo will come back to you directly. You will receive a notification in Startaloo that your patient replied. For reference, your VA will have access to the historical communication between your TC and patient.
Working As A Team
What if a patient asks a Startaloo TC-Virtual Assistant a question they can’t answer via text or email?
No problem! We simply instant message your team to see how you’d like to handle the question.
What if I don’t want the Startaloo TC-Virtual Assistant to handle a patient’s follow-up?
Simple. Just go into the Startaloo Tasks and create follow-up protocol that does not include your Startaloo VA. We are here to help as little or as much as you’d like.
What if a patient commits to treatment and schedules an appointment?
Great – that’s what we are working towards! When you change your patients to “Committed” status, Startaloo shuts down the pending patient tree discontinuing the follow-up protocol.
What if a patient declines treatment or asks to no longer be communicated with?
Unfortunately, from time to time this will happen. Your VA will handle this situation tactfully. They will then change the status to “declined” or “inactive/expired” which will stop and/or alter their follow-up tree. Your office will be notified in the weekly report.
What if the patient is pending dental work or insurance clearance?
The patient should be switched to “pending dental” or “pending insurance” status in Startaloo. You can then set up a follow-up task for your VA to check in on your patient in a certain time interval. You can also set an internal task for your VA to check in with a team member on the status of this patient.
Why do I have to use Startaloo Presentation program to hire a VA?
Practice management systems do not have the capability to support the information and communication systems that your VA will need to be effective in converting patients to Starts.
Do you use hardball selling tactics to close the deal?
No. Our goal is to promote your practice while converting patients to starts. We do not believe that hardball sales tactics will benefit your practice’s reputation. We believe that a persistent, compassionate, approach will convert more starts while building your practices reputation.
Can I schedule a task for the Startaloo TC-Virtual Assistant to follow-up with my TC?
Your VA is here to assist you in anyway possible. Your TC’s are busy. Maybe you want to schedule a task to have your VA check in with your TC to see if they called a patient’s dentist. Easy, simply go into your tasks for that patient and schedule an “internal” task. Your VA will check in with your TC via the instant messaging system.
How will I know follow-up tasks are being completed?
A team member of your practice can always go to the Patient Hub in Startaloo and see the history of completed and scheduled tasks. In addition we’ll email you a weekly report of the number of tasks completed.
What if offices have a unique way of following up that is different than Startaloo’s protocols and procedures?
No problem! We will work closely with you to make sure we are doing what you ask for and what your practice needs.
How does my practice get started with Startaloo TC-Virtual Assistant?
Getting started with Startaloo’ VA system is a breeze. We will work with your TC to create an effective follow-up protocol and train your team to use the Startaloo presentation program. All training is included in your monthly subscription fee.
Is Startaloo compliant with patient privacy laws and Consumer Telephone Protection Acts?
